In the Northeast, spaying and neutering is now such a common practice that there are few homeless puppies and dogs. However, it’s quite a different story in other parts of the country.
Every day, thousands of unwanted pets are abandoned across the United States. Knowing that many families in New England would choose to adopt a shelter pet, Northeast Animal Shelter launched its “Saving Homeless Pets Across America” program in 1994. Today, we work with animal shelters throughout the country transport pets from overcrowded facilities to Salem, MA.
Since opening our doors, we have helped over 145,000 cats and dogs who, in return, have provided unconditional love to the families who have adopted them.
If you are a shelter or rescue group who needs help saving the lives of homeless pets in your area, please contact our Animal Relocation Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We call our out-of-state rescue program “Saving Homeless Pets Across America.” This program is made possible by the generous donations of people like you. Your tax-deductible gift helps cover transportation costs, healthcare, inoculations and food… and most important of all, saves a puppy or adult dog from certain death.
